In early September big Chinook salmon begin to make their showing in Tillamook Bay. Commonly referred to as Tillamook Hogs, these fish will weight upwards of 30 to 50 pounds each and are the prize of any angler.

Here anglers fish from the comfort of a heated 21½-foot Alumaweld boat with a 200hp Mercury outboard.

Rivers along the Oregon coast begin to see increasing numbers of fall Chinook in October along with the first fall rains. This is the time we break out our 18-foot drift boat and float productive rivers like the Wilson, Trask, Nehalem, Necanicum and Nestucca.
